We’ll be at the Scottish Learning Festival this week – 20-21st September at the SECC – to engage in conversation with colleagues across Scotland on their own Digital Learning visions. Microsoft have launched a new Scottish Education page on their much lauded Education website which is full of the very best resources for educators. Learn how to develop your own skills in Office 365 and use the resources matched to the Scottish Curriculum.
You can add to your GTC update and CV using your badges and achievements in short online courses. More importantly, you’ll begin to see how the Office 365 tools in GLOW can transform your workflow, workload and develop meaningful and relevant skills for your pupils.

We’ve all being doing PowerPoint for a LONG time now and at times we’ve become sick to death of them. There is a new presentation tool available, also created by Microsoft, which uses a really simple toolset for really impressive results. You can, for example, take a Microsoft Word document and drop it into Sway and it will create the sections and slides and titles that are in your draft. You can add video, slideshows, twitter feeds and a whole host of other content. The killer is that you can then share it with everyone and anyone online because Sway is free for everyone and can be viewed through any browser.

If you’re looking for a way to set quizzes, polls and formal assessments to capture learning then Microsoft Forms is a fantastic new addition to the Office365 tools you have available through GLOW. The great thing is you can set it up so that it marks them for you and provides feedback to the pupils about their answers.
