Dear Parent/Carer,
Our Curriculum Rationale
As you know we created our Curriculum Rationale in May 2016 with input from pupils, staff, parents and stakeholders. In January 2017 we revisited this, made some amendments and created a Curriculum Postcard with our key statements of Believe, Develop and Achieve sitting around a design of a tree and hands symbolising our links to the community and our desire to dig deep and reach high.
Please find attached a copy of the Curriculum Postcard and the Curriculum Rationale if you would like to give us some feedback on these please email Mrs Drew on couparangus@pkc.gov.uk
In school we have been working on several initiatives over the last 12 months to raise the attainment and achievement of all the pupils and support them to achieve the best they can and we will send home a copy of our progress with these initiatives over the coming weeks.

Mrs Kerr [Miss Kerrs mum].Came into our classroom to help us practise our poems for our Burns Supper. She had inspired us to do it really well. When it came to the night I was pretty confident but excited at the same time. On the night it was good, everyone was amazing.

We have been writing about some of our favourite things that happened this year in school. Debbie (P3) has written about the owl who came to visit her class! Wish we all could have been there!!
Here is what she wrote:
Owls are big .They eat mice and worms and they can make holes in trees .They comes out at night time .When they go out in the dark they hunt.
Steven also wrote about the owls. This is what he said:
A man brought in some owls .One owl was called Fidget and one was called swoosh . Fidget had black eyes and swoosh had one orange eye and one black eye. Fidget wouldn’t fly but swoosh did. They were cute and flew really fast .
