We have been writing about some of our favourite things that happened this year in school. Debbie (P3) has written about the owl who came to visit her class! Wish we all could have been there!!

Here is what she wrote:

Owls are big .They eat mice and worms and they can make holes in trees .They comes out at night time .When they go out in the dark they hunt.

Steven also wrote about the owls. This is what he said:

A man brought in some owls .One owl was called Fidget and one was called swoosh . Fidget  had black eyes and swoosh had one orange eye and one black eye. Fidget wouldn’t fly but swoosh did. They were cute and flew really fast .

This will be taking place on 5th October.  Children can dress as their favourite Roald Dahl character for £1.

This year our teachers will be learning new ways to use iPads to engage and motivate children in their Literacy Learning.  The first session is on 28th September.

There were lots of exciting stalls, including hens, dog biscuits made by the children, Lucky Dip, Food Tasting by Gwen the School Cook, Nail in a Bale, BBQ and produce from our garden.  We raised over £700 which will be spent on books and I-PADS.

We had a fabulous day and over 100 children cycled to school.  The Cycling Hub fixed several bikes and set up cycling tracks.  Primary 4-7 had a Bikeability Taster Session and cycling on the Common. All classes made smoothies on the Smoothie Bike!
