Primary 5 have been learning about food safety and the possible consequences of poor food hygiene. We were really lucky yesterday as Fiona and the other dinner ladies gave us a tour around the school kitchen and taught us about everything they do to ensure that the food they serve us is safe to eat.

๐๐ Autumn Poems ๐๐
Recently, Primary 5 have been focusing on using descriptive language in our writing. Yesterday we decided to go on an autumn walk and, whilst on the walk, we were able to think up lots of adjectives to describe autumn. ย When we returned to class we used these words to create autumn poems. Arenโt they super! ๐ฆ๐๐ฐ๐

A huge congratulations to out first star writers of the year! ย All five managed to include WOW words, OUTSTANDING openers, COOL connectives and PERFECT punctuation in their stories – great job! ๐
MacMillan Coffee Morning

Primary 5 were visited by a menace called Derek Drew today during our lesson on narrative poetry. ย They tried to ask the teacher for help but Mrs Butler seemed rather fed up with all the interruptions to her lesson!
