It was party time in Primary 5/6 today! We have been so busy with Christmas games like musical statues, corners and charades as well as the ultimate Christmas quiz (well done to NM, MM and CS who were the victors). We also had a virtual elf visit this afternoon! Β I hope everyone had a great day!
Have a fabulous weekend everyone.

Today in Primary 5/6 we have been planning a letter to Santa from a villain of choice. The Chief Elf has written to their villain to inform them that they have been placed on the naughty list. Luckily, Santa is a forgiving person and will give them one chance to explain themselves before being placed on the list permanently. The children picked a host of different villains; from the Grinch to Prince Charming from Shrek, the Sanderson sisters from Hocus Pocus to the Wicked Witch from the West from the Wizard of Oz. We will write our persuasive letters tomorrow.
Additionally, here are some photos yesterday which I meant to post; we have been creating cubist polar bear art using warm and cool colours.

What a busy day we have had in Primary 5/6 today! Below are some photos from our Reindeer Dash this morning:
We then had our Christmas lunch (a massive well done to the dinner ladies who did a fantastic job once again!). Followed by our Cool Class Cup victory afternoon. We watched Elf and had lots of treats (apologies to the parents if anyone comes home in a sugar coma! π)
Have a great weekend everyone!

This morning Primary 5/6 went outside to play some playground games.
Then we continued with our work on βThe Song of Sky and Sandβ. We summarised what has happened in the story so far and explored some synonyms of the tricky vocabulary that we have encountered.
Great work everyone!

Today Primary 5/6 began a new Big Reading book entitled ‘The Song of Sky and Sand’.Β Chapter 1 has been allocated to all of the children’s Active Learn accounts, should you wish to read it together at home.Β This afternoon we moved on to practising our times table of the week (the 3x table).Β We played the following supermovers song to help us learn it, which you can practise at home.
