Monday 9th November

Today we have been learning about remembrance. We have learned that the reason people wear poppies around Remembrance Day is because of the poem โ€˜Flanders Fieldsโ€™. ย Additionally, we have heard the stories of several Scottish people who fought in the Great War, including the story of a young boy who came from Cumbernauld. In preparation for Remembrance Day on Wednesday, we have decorated some rocks which we are going to leave around the local area to help people remember all those who sacrificed their lives so that we can live ours.
