Main Task: Near Multiples of 10
29.04.20 Subtracting Near Multiples of 10
I can use the skill of rounding and adjusting to help me subtract a near multiple of 10.
Today in our maths we will be building on what we did last week by not only subtracting a multiple of 10 (10, 20, 30, 40 etc.) but now subtracting a near multiple (11, 9, 21, 19 etc.)

For example, in question a) in which the question is £240 – £71 I would do £240 – £70 which equals £170 then I would take away the remaining £1, making the answer £169.

I didn’t do joe Wicks today but I did 100 jumps on the trampoline and 25 star jumps even in the rain. I’ve finished all my work 👍 I’m going to walk my dog now 🐶👍
That sounds like such fun Zak, I miss having a trampoline in my garden. I had one when I was younger but it blew away during a storm. I always wondered where it ended up!
That’s great that you are working hard at home – it definitely sounds like you have earned a break to walk your dog! I hope you enjoyed the fresh air though, as you mentioned, the weather is not as nice this week unfortunately!
