Primary 5 have been learning about shadows recently and today we investigated what happens to our shadows throughout the day. We went into the playground at 9, 11, 12 and 1 o’clock and, making sure to stand in the exact same spot, we had our partner draw around our shadows. What we discovered was that,  not only did our shadows move round throughout the day, they also got shorter due to the position of our light source (the sun).
