Last week we had our first Stay and Play session of this year. Lots of parents and carers managed to come along to play with their children and see close at hand our new play areas.

Today children had fun using pens and markers to develop their mark making skills. They were also learning to share and turn take and explored creating potions outdoors!
Today children had fun outdoors. They were learning to balance on stilts and learning to turn take and share at the water. They were also making story books about the Katie Morag story and sequencing the story using pictures. NB For the Nativity show could children please wear a white t shirt and dark leggings/ trousers on the day of the show.
Children were learning about money, numbers and writing skills playing in our Post Office. Children were busy learning to match shapes and colours with jigsaws, reading stories, learning to turn take in games as well as creating pictures using stampers and developing their fine motor control using scissors- yet another busy day in nursery!
Yesterday children completed their daily mile! They made lentil soup which they had for snack. They played outdoors, creating the Island Of Struay from the story Katie Morag. Children In Need day on Friday coming 16 th November. Children should wear something spotty and donate £1.
Children will be taking turns in their groups to walk around school to complete a daily mile, we’re hoping to have walked to Lapland by Christmas!! Children had lots of fun splashing in the puddles! Please remember on Wednesday parents/ carers are invited to nursery at 10.15-11.00 am and 2.00-3.00 for our Mini Movers presentations!
Last week children had lots of fun around the theme of Halloween. They made magic potions, compared the size and weights of pumpkins compared to other fruits and vegetables and practised some games for their upcoming party. HALLOWEEN PARTY is ON Wednesday 31st October normal times. We also had ‘Mini Movers’ in again. They will next be coming in on Wednesday 7 th of November to show parents what children have been learning. Letters will be issued soon.
JToday children helped to carve out a pumpkin, made collage pictures using Autumn colours and were playing with the woodland cottage in the small word. They had cereal for snack and were helping to cut out leaves to make our climbing frame into a tree. Next WEDNESDAY is our HALLOWEEN PARTY. Fancy dress but nothing too scary please😊.
We had mini Movers in nursery today!
Today children helped to finish making our apple crumble. Most of the children tried some and some liked it more than others! If you have any news that your child would like to share with their group or the nursery, we can put it onto our nursery ‘Group wall’ if it was a photo, certificate or even a drawing.
