Improvement Planning allows the school to identify priorities for development and plan realistically for the implementation of the Curriculum for Excellence and other government initiatives.

Each year, all schools produce a School Improvement Report detaining the improvements and progress made during the previous year and a School Improvement Plan, outlining planned improvements for the present year.
