Fairtrade Fortnight

We had great fun making Fairtrade logos today. We learned that when we see the logo on items at the shop, we know that the farmers have been paid a fair price for what they have grown.

The Fairtrade Council are selling Fairtrade fruit juice and cereal bars throughout Fairtrade Fortnight for the bargain price of £1 for one of each. Snap them up while you can!

We have been learning all about Abronhill and the different buildings we can see there.  We got to try different activities during Purposeful play this week.  Some children used junk to create a new home, while some children designed their own new town.

This week, Sheryl was the Dojo winner – congratulations Sheryl!

Alison was awarded a Confident Indivudual Certificate for her super reading this week.  Well done Alison!

The Polar Express

We boarded the Polar Express and took a trip to Germany! We learned lots of interesting things about how German people celebrate Christmas.  We learned that German children put a shoe at their door on Christmas Eve.  If they have been good, Santa fills their shoes will sweets.  If the children are on the naughty list, Santa fills their shoes with twigs! IMG_0773 IMG_0775
