We have had a super time celebrating World Book Day! All the boys and girls look great wearing their costumes! We enjoyed creating crazy characters to write about!!
We had great fun making Fairtrade logos today. We learned that when we see the logo on items at the shop, we know that the farmers have been paid a fair price for what they have grown.
The Fairtrade Council are selling Fairtrade fruit juice and cereal bars throughout Fairtrade Fortnight for the bargain price of £1 for one of each. Snap them up while you can!
It’s been another fun and busy week in Primary 1. We had a super time at the library and really enjoyed our visit from Mr Reid the author.

Some me boys and girls made model homes for homework. Don’t they look great!!
We had a great afternoon visiting Abronhill Library. We learned about how the books are organised and got to use our knowledge of alphabetical order to sort some story books.
Primary 1b had great fun developing their jumping skills today. The children gave their partner feedback and,as a result, all the children were able to improve. Well done everyone!

We have been learning all about Abronhill and the different buildings we can see there. We got to try different activities during Purposeful play this week. Some children used junk to create a new home, while some children designed their own new town.

Alison was awarded a Confident Indivudual Certificate for her super reading this week. Well done Alison!
Can I please ask that all children bring indoor and outdoor P.E. kit to school every week to ensure that children can safely participate in lessons. Indoor P.E. is on a Monday, and Outdoor P.E. is on a Tuesday. Many thanks for your support with this.
We had a lovely time this morning, having a walk down Whitelees Road. We wanted to find out about the different homes in our local area.
