P2 and their families have had good fun making these super models of Police cars, fire engines and ambulances. They look super. I’m sure that you agree.

POLO Day P2
We had a great day of fun learning outdoors today.
Fractions
We are learning about fractions. We can shade half of a shape and a quarter of a shape. We can also say the answer to half of a given number.
“1 whole is the same as two halves,” said Lily.
“1 whole cake can be cut into four quarters,” said Lauren.
“It is like division,” said Dylan.
“With a whole we can make four quarters,” said Daniel.
“We can make pictures when we cut circles in halves and quarters,” said Emilie.
“We can make a whole into thirds,” said Lewis.
Firefighter Carroll’s Visit
Firefighter Carroll came to visit P2 and tell us all about his job. We thoroughly enjoyed his visit. He told us of the dangers of fire.
Nurse McQuade’s Visit
Nurse McQuade visited our class on Tuesday. She told us all about her job. She brought in aprons, masks and gloves for us to try on. We also got to fill syringes with water and try them out. This was fun. We enjoyed Nurse McQuade’s visit very much.
“She let us try on some uniform,” said Lily.
“Nurse McQuade let us try syringes with water in them,” said Lewis.
“We tried on bandages,” said Emilie.
“We tried on doctor’s masks,” said Dylan.
“We put on hospital gloves,” said Eilidh.
“Nurse McQuade answered all our questions,” said Conor.
