Primary 1

Primary 1 had a fabulous day at Edinburgh Zoo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the penguin enclosure .

We mananged to see lots of different and interesting animals  . I think the cute Koala bears and the Pandas were firm favourites .

It was such a busy day so we had a few sleepy heads on the bus journey home .

P4 Schoenstatt Retreat

Today our Primary Fours were lucky enough to go on a First Communion Retreat at the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mercy.

They had a lovely day visiting the Shrine, taking part in a treasure hunt and making rosary beads.

They were very respectful during Mass and sang all the hymns enthusiastically!

Special thanks to Mrs Logan from Children’s Liturgy for coming with us.

P2 Science Centre

We all had a fantastic time at the science centre today. In the morning we had a chance to explore lots of resources and in the afternoon we all enjoyed the IMAX experience on Under the Sea. What a fantastic way to finish our Under the Sea topic!

Eco News: Waste Week

This week we are taking part in Waste Week.

Image result for waste week 2019

Our Eco Committee will be monitoring the use of plastic in each classroom with the hopes of reducing it.

To understand why we should reduce our use of plastic, some classes took part in the BBC Blue Planet Live Lesson focusing on the damage it is doing to our oceans and marine life.

We are trying to go Plastic Free all this week, and hopefully will see an end to single use plastic being used in our school in the future.
