Winter Art in P4/5

Today our P4/5 artists had a great time creating their own snow-globe scenes.

What we thought was going to be an ordinary painting activity had a fun twist to it – we painted our pictures using our fingers! We were only allowed to use paintbrushes at the end to add small details. It was really tricky to stay inside the circle of our snow-globes, but we all managed it well.

We also finished work on our class art project, which was to create a winter scene. We have been working hard on it for the past couple of weeks. We started by painting our own abstract snowy backgrounds, which we joined up to create the sky, before adding white paper to make the ground. Then in our groups we used crayons, pens, watercolours and sequins to create our mixed media trees. Lastly, we added our snowman, moon, stars and presents to give our winter scene the finishing touch!

What a great effort by everyone!

Monday is our Christmas party and we cannot wait to celebrate after working hard all term long!
