Hello from Primary One!

Primary One are nearing the end of their buddying of our new starts from the nursery. They have been a fantastic help to the nursery children and have passed on their knowledge and experience throughout the transition process.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the interactive Jungle Book show on Monday and they were very enthusiastic when volunteering for parts and joining in on the songs.

They are moving towards independent writing during taught writing sessions and displayed an excellent level of independence when using their word mats and writing plans to create their own golden time stories.

Primary One had great fun playing splat bingo in class with their partners and are working very hard in numeracy to recognise and count on numbers beyond 20.

The children enjoyed taking their books outside to read in the sunshine at long last!

Another fantastic week!  Well done, Primary One!
