St Kevin's Primary and Nursery

Baby Chicks

We had ten eggs delivered to nursery and we now have ten baby chicks! We have two girls and eight boys. The girl chicks are darker in colour. The children have had great fun stroking the chicks and watching them grow. Primary One from Bargeddie Primary came to visit too as their project is Spring. Some children from St Kevins have been for visits also. The chicks will be returning to the farm on Thursday.

  1. Oliver has enjoyed having the chicks at nursery but he did say they are a bit smelly! It’s a lovely experience for the children to watch them start off as eggs and then watch them grow as chicks.
Thank you for organising and posting lovely photos.

    • Oliver was quite right, they did get a bit smelly! It was super fun watching them hatch and grow.
