This week the children have been doing two different science experiments.  The first one was with water balloons, were they had to freeze them overnight and then submerge them in cold water the next day to see if they would float or sink.  This was to show how icebergs float and also to show the children that the majority of an iceberg is below the water.

The second experiment was using ice cubes, string and salt water.  The pupils placed the ice cube into salt water then put the string into the cup. The string then attached onto the ice cube showing that ice survives and lasts longer in salt water.

The pupils had great fun and worked co-operatively and as mixed teams.
