This week Primary 5/6 enjoyed listening to everyone’s fabulous and very interesting personal talks .

The wide range of subjects the children had decided to speak about was fantastic . We were particularly focused on speaking with loud and clear voices , maintaining eye contact with the audience and trying to make good use of props , photographs and PowerPoint presentations to hold the listeners attention . What amazing bunch of confident individuals !

We are thoroughly enjoying learning about Planet Earth . This week we have been learning about how the continents of the world have changed over time .  We now know that the Earth’s surface is made up of tectonic plates and that these have moved over millions of years .

We enjoyed watching video clips of Iceland . This demonstrated where the North American and Eurasian plates are moving apart .

We are really looking forward to exploring Volcanoes next week at school .
