This week in Primary Three we received the exciting news that we would be starting Hockey training! We met our coaches and had a great time learning how to hold the hockey stick properly, and how to control and move the ball with it. We also took part in some fun games where we had to concentrate and try to successfully move our ball around some obstacles.

We can’t wait to continue our training over the next few weeks.

This week we also began our topic lessons on The Human Body. We concentrated on protecting our body against germs, and the human skeleton. At the start of the week, we did a fun art lesson where we had to cut and stick straws to represent what we think our skeleton looks like. Later in the week we took part in a science lesson where we studied the names and positions of the bones, and looked at what organs they protect. We finished with a group challenge, where we worked in teams to build a life size adult skeleton.

As you can see we thoroughly enjoyed our challenge, and were all successful in working as part of a team, and using our problem solving skills.

We are looking forward to next week learning about how our major organs work.
