The Primary 4/5 pupils have started their new theme ‘The Titanic’.  The boys and girls have been listening intently to Miss Baxter’s book ‘Titanic – Death on the water’.  They have also been using this as a stimulus to produce a variety of daily writing pieces, including excellent postcards to send back to a loved one about their experience aboard the Titanic.  When they completed their postcards, the children then used teabags to stain the postcards to create an old effect.  The children have understood what the word ‘docked’ means and that the Titanic docked at France before continuing it’s journey to New York.
