An Update from P7

Hello again from Primary 7! We cannot believe that term 1 is over already.

Primary 7 have made an excellent start to term 2 and we are excited to share with you what we have been learning.

During maths, we have been learning all about symmetry through lots of hands on activities using shapes and mirrors. We are continuing to improve our mental agility by discussing and learning new mental strategies during our daily Number Talks.

A highlight of the term so far had definitely been our ‘Halloween Afternoon” where we had lots of messy fun which you can clearly see in the pictures below. We were able to dress up in our amazing costumes and put our creativity and decorating skills to the test by creating Halloween themed iced biscuits.

We are continuing to learn about growth mindset and how this can help us be more successful. To end our previous topic of Civil Rights in the USA, Primary 7 had the opportunity to perform our topic song at the Parents’ coffee morning. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did! We have just begun our exciting new topic where we will be studying Australia. We can’t wait to share our learning with you on the school Twitter feed and in our next blog post!
