Good morning everyone I hope you enjoyed your long weekend. Here is today’s plan, you will find all of the resources you need on Glow and on the class story on Dojo. If you need any help please just ask!
Writing
- Open the writing folder on Glow.
- Click on the Writing Challenge Cards.
- You chose one of the tasks two weeks ago for writing, choose one of the other tasks today for your story.
- Remember you will need an introduction, middle section and a conclusion.
- You will need to use paragraphs to separate your writing.
- It is up to you how many paragraphs you choose to include in the middle section.
- Think about your setting. Is it set now or in the past? Where does your story take place?
- Who are your characters? Are you in the story?
- Remember to send me your writing to read!
Spelling
Open your group spelling folder on Glow. Choose one of the activities to practice your words for this week.
Maths
Espresso – Geometry – Position and Direction
- Login to Espresso, click Second Level and then click on Geometry – Position and Direction Lower, it is in the middle of the page.
- Watch the video called plotting points in the first quadrant.
- In Activities try the discovering co-ordinates quiz and the find the missing co-ordinates task.
- In the printable resources open the plotting co-ordinates in the first quadrant task. If you can print it then you can do the task on the worksheet. If not you could draw out a co-ordinates grid on paper and then plot the points for each shape. Remember to always start with the X point!
Mental Maths – Thursday’s questions are in the folder on Glow.
Sumdog
Take part in the whole school competition organised by Mrs McLean. It is running until the 21st May so remember to join in every day.
Art
- This week we are looking at another Scottish Artist – Gillian Kyle.
- In the art folder on glow open the Gillian Kyle powerpoint.
- This gives you some information about the artist.
- The task at the end involves using some wrappings from famous Scottish biscuits, if you don’t have these at home do not worry, you could just draw the designs into the shapes of each object or you could create some of your own, the only rule is that you use a Scottish theme!
- The templates you will need are in the art folder on glow and in the class story on dojo.
P.E.
Make sure you get some exercise today. There are lots of classes available online just now if you can’t get outside.
Mrs MacLean and Miss Kiernan’s Glow Folders
Mrs MacLean and Miss Kiernan have made lots of tasks for you too so remember to go into their folders on Glow and try some of them.
Have a great day!
Miss Connor
