Addition
We have learned all of the addition facts for 2, 3, 4 and 5. Children are encouraged to memorise these facts for rapid random recall.
Use practical materials at home to show all the different ways to make 2, 3, 4 and 5. You could use pegs, toy cars, playdough or playing cards.
Remember Jack Hartmann is always there to help if you get stuck. Just search Number Bonds for 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Use your word tin to practise your common words. When you look at each word, read the word and then spell it out loud.
Can you think of a sentence for each of your common words this week? Tell an adult your sentences and see if they can spot which common word you have used in each sentence.

Good afternoon boys and girls, please find this weeks homework tasks below.
Monday – Red and Blue group – the phoneme “th” wordlist e.g. this, that, then making the sound “the”. Be careful with is phoneme. The video below explains the two different phoneme sounds that “th” makes.
Green group – the phoneme “oa” wordlist – remember our rhyme “goat in a boat”.
Tuesday – Common words – choose a fun way to practise your words – you could do rainbow spelling, pyramid spelling, UPPERCASE/lowercase, fancy spelling, foam, pasta or plasticine.
Red & Blue group – spring, sunny, those, home
Green group – make, all, came
Wednesday – Sumdog maths challenge.

This week we are looking at these common words. Your word list is – alliteration, neighbour, happened, during, conclusion, announcing, opposite, imagine, energy and competition. Write these words in alphabetical order, alliteration comes first, then write the letters for each word in alphabetical order ‘alliteration’ would be written as ‘aaeiillnortt.’
This week we will be learning about the Moon and satellites, write a short description of what the Earth would be like if we had no Moon. How would it affect the tides, the wildlife, the plant-life and humanity?
