Primary 3 homework – w.b. 19th October

I hope that you had a lovely break over the October holidays. This week’s homework is as follows:

Monday – Red and Blue group – Make a word list with “mb” phoneme words e.g. thumb.

Green group – make a phoneme wordlist list with “ee– what can you see?”

Tuesday– common words and sentences.

Red and Blue group –green, people, which, another

Green- had, see, has

Wednesday – Number worksheet – this will be given home on Tuesday.

Please remember to read over your reading book every night for fluency practise.

Primary 2/1 Happy Holidays

Hi Everyone,

Now that the first term in school is over and the holiday break is beginning I just wanted to take a minute to say a big WELL DONE to all the boys and girls in our class. They have all settled in really well to school life and have been working so hard in class. You have made me so proud.

I would also like to say a special thank you for your support over these last few months in helping to make your child’s first term at school a great success.

I hope you and your family have a safe and relaxing October break.

Primary 4

Hello Primary 4,

There seems to have been an issue with glow and where to find your homework this week. I have checked on my computer and I can access this fine however I know some people have had issues.  I have deleted the original post in the hope this now works.

Homework Week Beginning 5th October

10 minutes of independent reading of your own novel each night.

Monday –

Group 1- Draw a phoneme flower for ‘ough’ phoneme.

Group 2 – Draw a phoneme flower for a-e phoneme.

Tuesday – Design a poster about money.

Wednesday- In class we have been learning about Mary our Mother as it is the month of October. Design Mary’s prayer and say this each night.

Primary 7 – Week Beginning 05/10/20

Hello Primary 7,

You homework this week is in 3 parts;

  1. There is a spelling challenge on Sumdog built around this week and last week’s spelling words for you to complete.
  2. Research the clothes worn by people during the renaissance and name each piece, a doublet for example.
  3. Complete these BODMAS problems

a. 4² + 3    b. 4 + 3²    c. 4² + 3 – 2    d. 4 + 3² – 2    e. 4³ – 3 + 2    f. 4 – 3 + 2³

g. 5² + 4 x 3 + 2    h. 5 + 4² x 3 + 2    i. 4² + 3²     j. 4² + 3² – 2²

Email your answers to me using Glow.
