Dear Families of St. Barbara’s,
In Primaries 5/6 and 6, we have been exploring ways in which we can care for our amazing planet by living more sustainably.
One way in which we have been doing this is through recycling.
In order to promote recycling within our school an community, we are planning on holding a BIG Spring Bring and Buy Sale on the morning of Wednesday 2nd April.
We would be very grateful for donations of the following preloved items – in excellent condition, please:
Donations will be gratefully accepted from now until Monday 31st March 2025.
Funds from our sale will be used to develop sustainable practices within our school.
You will be very welcome to come to along to our sale and times can be seen below.
We have to arrange slots in order to accommodate everyone safely in the hall.

St. Barbara’s Waste Warriors
The Primary 6 children have been learning about Planet Earth; specifically the impact of plastic pollution, fast fashion and climate change on the planet.
This culminated in a visit to the SKY UP studios in Livingston where they worked together to create a series of news reports.
While quite a number of children are seen on screen, the others worked behind the scenes learning about cameras, editing etc.
