End of Month Assembly
Our whole school gathered together on Friday to review our achievements and success for May. Our monthly Maths, Art and Writing awards were given out – well done to all our award winners!
We took time to celebrate some very successful events and to congratulate many of our children for wider achievement. It is a delight to share news like this in front of the whole school.
We also invited Kelly along from Marie Curie to receive our cheque for the recent Daffodil Tea. She was delighted to receive our cheque for £528.44.
Summer Fair
Thank you to our wonderful PTA for organising and running the Summer Fair on Saturday. We raised a fantastic £1575! Well done everyone!
Gaelic Football Finals
Two of our teams took part in the first of the Gaelic Finals last week at St Ambrose against many other schools in the area.
Despite the weather we did exceptionally well with both our teams getting to play-offs. Mrs Drummond said we were amazing and that we should be super proud of our efforts.
Careers Fair
Our Careers Fair last week was a great success, very much enjoyed by all in attendance. We heard from many local businesses about their line of work, any specific training required to do certain jobs and how sometimes the job you plan to do is not the one you end up doing. We learned how many skills you can develop in life are transferable. Thank you for coming to work with us.
York Medication
Thank you to those who have collected Medication for anyone who went to York. We still have many at the office awaiting collection.
If you are happy for your child to bring home please ask them to come and collect it ASAP.
York – Medication
Medication for anyone who went to York is now available at the office for collection. If you are happy for your child to bring home please ask them to come and collect it ASAP.
Foodbank Appeal
Wear It Yellow Walk
Primary 7 pupils were issued with a letter today reminding them they are going to the Wear Yellow Walk on 5th June (next Wed). This letter asks that the children bring a packed lunch that day or order a snack to go as they will be away for most of the day.
Pupils have been asked to obtain sponsorship from family and friends for this event to raise funds for St Andrews Hospice therefore your support in this regard would be very much appreciated.
If you are able to assist at this event please let us know.
