The whole school will attend Holy Mass tomorrow morning for our Christmas Service before we break up for the Christmas and New Year holidays. We hope all our families enjoy a peaceful and joyous time and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Wednesday 6th January 2016. Please note the school closes at 2.30pm tomorrow. Infant Party Time

George our Lollipop Man
This morning we had a special assembly to express our good wishes and to say a fond farewell to George, our Lollipop Man, who has served the school for 11 years. We are sad to say goodbye and thank him for
his excellent support and care for all the boys and girls at St. Augustine’s Primary. Several classes entertained George with a few Christmas Carols and George duly obliged by presenting awards to the children who received Highly Commended Awards for their entries to the Road Safety Calendar Competition.
Cheerleading Champion
One of our cheerleading champions came to the office this morning to show off her trophy. Well done!!
Party Time
Our pupils of Pr.6 & 7 joined in festivities this afternoon as they enjoyed their Christmas party. There were plenty of interesting dances moves on display !!! Below is a slide show of the afternoon!!
Room 8 Enterprising Challenge
The boys and girls of Room 8 have been busy at home planning, designing and creating their own board games. They presented them to their classmates and then played the games with the pupils of Room 3. Fantastic work boys and girls!!!

The hall was a very noisy and happy place as our Pr. 4 and 5 pupils enjoyed their Christmas party this afternoon. As you can see they had a great time.
High School Links
Our recent partnership work with St.Ambrose High School resulted in presents being purchased for the Syrian families and their children who have recently moved to North Lanarkshire. Thanks to the generosity of our children during our recent Silver for Syria campaign we were able to give £200 towards the purchase of toys for the children at a party hosted by St.Ambrose. Mrs. Marcucilli, Principal Teacher of Pupil Support, reported that the children were overwhelmed and so excited to see Santa and gave him a great big hug!
