As promised here is our slideshow from the sports morning last week. It also includes a snapshot of our competitive parents!!
Celebrating Success
Today at our Wednesday afternoon assembly we celebrated the accomplishments of our fabulous boys and girls. Pupils received pupil of the week awards and good citizen awards. I was in the process of uploading a photograph of today’s recipients when I realised that quite a few pictures have not been posted and this included pictures of pupils who have achieved success out of school. Apologies children here you are!
Room 12 presentations
Room 12 pupils have been busy in class presenting their personal projects to the class. They have clearly demonstrated confidence and articulated themselves very well in front of their peers. One pupil completed a PowerPoint on the Oceans and asked questions at the end of his presentation to check everyone’s listening skills and to see if they learned some new and interesting facts . Another example illustrates how one of our pupils interpreted the challenge set by Mrs.McGlone and of presented her model of a venue for the aquatic events linked to her learning on the Olympics. Well done boys and girls! Great skills demonstrating personalisation and choice in learning.
Kodaly Music Lessons
Room 12 have really enjoyed Kodaly music lessons with the visiting specialist, Mrs Ewart. Each group worked collaboratively to answer questions in the end of the year quiz. Well done boys and girls!

Pr.5 at Primary Games
Our wonderful Pr.5 pupils attended the Primary Games event at Ravescraig on Friday. They had a wonderful day and were complimented on their excellent behaviour. It looks like a great day was had by all.
Pr.1 using Technology
Our Pr.1 pupils in Room 2 have been busy in class sending me e-mails to tell me all about their year. They have all received their replies.
Miss Ross said
Primary one have been learning about the world of email and shocked Miss Ross with their knowledge! Some children have already sent and received emails to family members and friends.
Primary one chose to send emails to Mrs Docherty, they decided their own subject and wrote the email very independently. They are familiar with the language of email and can use the mouse to click on the send button. They are also becoming more familiar with a keyboard. Most children are familiar with this through their use of ipads.
Well Done boy and girls in Room 2!!!
More pictures from Sports Afternoon
Mrs.Murphy was almost like an official photographer and has captured the afternoon beautifully with her pictures!!

A slideshow of our Room 1 – 8 morning event will be posted tomorrow!! Mr.O’Dowd features but I don’t recall seeing him race or win so he has clearly pinched someone’s medals!!
