The Primary 7s had great fun last week walking 6K round Strathclyde Park in aid of St. Andrew’s Hospice. The sun was shining brightly. It was a fabulous day enjoyed by everyone. Everyone was exhausted by the time they got back to school! The pupils were excellent and repreented the school beautifully. Well done boys and girls!! Please encourage your child to bring in the sponsor money for this great cause as soon as possible. Thank you for your support and generosity.

Summer Fair
Saturday was a fabulous day that saw the school community come together for our annual summer fair. It was great to see our Summer Fair take place in brilliant sunshine with everyone enjoying themselves. Our fabulous PTA really did us proud and raised the astonishing sum of £1,850 for PTA funds. That was an amazing sum and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the PTA, to school staff and to all the parents, grandparents and children who came along to support the school. Our slideshow below captures the great day that was had by all!!
Room 1, 2, 3,and 4 go on a Bug Hunt
David, from Bug Life took the classes an adventure last week to find lots of bugs in our local area and raise the awareness of meadows for our invertebrates and other wildlife.
The children found snails, butterflies, beetles, worms, bees, spiders, earwigs, ants and caterpillars. They even saw bunny rabbits too! The children had a look at the bugs in the bug catchers then put them gently back in their home.
The children told David about our work on Mini Beasts and showed him our very own Bug Hotel in our school garden, he was very impressed!
Everyone had fabulous fun in the sun!
Preparing for the Fair
The boys and girls of Room 14 were busy last week making dough and them making moulds and decorating their creations to sell at the fair. Great team work!
