Science and Technology Investigation

On Friday our Primary 7 were hard at work in their co-operative  groups to plan, create, evaluate and improve a structure that would hold an egg without breaking if dropped.  It was quite a challenge and required a great deal of team work and negotiation. Both Ms Allison and Mrs.Drummond noted that the Pr.7 classes are full of creative individuals. Well done boys and girls!!

Welcome Back To School

images

Hello everyone, I hope you have enjoyed a well earned break away from school and enjoyed a holiday with your family.  It was wonderful this morning to see so many excited faces ready to start a new school year and to take on the challenges that lie ahead.  A huge welcome is extended to our new Pr.1 pupils and their parents who joined us today.  I can report that I have visited the classes this morning and all pupils have settled in extremely quickly to their new learning environment.  There were no tears but I don’t feel quite so convinced about the parents.  Please remember to check the school blog for regular updates in regard of the life of the school and up and coming news and events.

Pr.7 Leavers Night

Oh what a night!!! The boys and girls of Pr. 7 enjoyed a fabulous night on Friday thanks to the dedicated group of  parents who gave up their time to plan and organise a great night for our wonderful children who loved every minute of the evening!! Thank you ladies for all your great work! Father Kane joined the children at the end of the evening to say a few words, to join everyone in prayer and to oversee the releasing of the balloons!! Quite a send off indeed. Our leavers Mass will take place in the school on Monday at 1.00pm followed by our leavers award ceremony. All parents and grandparents of Pr.7 pupils are welcome to join us for this joyous occasion.
