What’s on This Week?
This week classes across the school are engaged in their Enterprise projects developing skills for learning, life and work. We are working in partnership with our fantastic PTA to help prepare for our Christmas Fair taking place in Saturday 3rd Dec. Please keep the date in your diary. Classes are also involved in Scottish Studies and are learning their song for our forthcoming St.Andrew’s Day concert on Thurs. 30th Nov. Preparations are also now well underway for our Christmas Nativity and Show. This week is also Ant-Bullying Week. All in all St.Augustine’s is a hive of activity as always with children developing as confident individuals and successful learners.

Pr. 1 – Information Handling and Fun with Numicon
The pupils of Pr. 1 , Rm 2 have been busy this week working on data handling. The researched their favourite fruit and found out an interesting way of displaying their results. A pictogram. The boys and girls were also busy learning about number using Numicon to help name the number and learn about odds and evens.
Titanic Showcase Pr. 5 and 6
The boys and girls of Room 13 and 16 presented their Titanic showcase in the gym hall this afternoon in full period costume. They put together a full presentation that gave lots of interesting facts about the building of the Titanic and the disaster. They complimented their presentation with drama, dance and music. Well done boys and girls, you were truly wonderful despite a very dodgy microphone! Room 15 pupils hosted their showcase event in their class and put a lot of pressure on parents to answer their quiz questions. The powerpoints and presentation skills on display were excellent. Fantastic work boys and girls, a real showcase of all the talent here at St.Augustine’s Primary.
Pr.1 Learning Update
The boys and girls of Room 1 were learning all about Fireworks last week and how to remain safe. Here is a slideshow to showcase their learning. We hope everyone enjoyed the firework displays last week.
