Konflux Theatre Workshop – Anti Bullying

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The boys and girls of P6/7 and P7 worked with Mark of Konflux Theatre Company today to explore the issue of bullying. The children enjoyed workshops to unpick this issue and how some behaviour that may seem like fun is in fact hurting people’s feelings.

A fantastic drama performance was put on for the whole school where our talented children shared their learning and sent a strong message that bullying is not ok.  Well done boys and girls you showed maturity and confidence and we are very proud of you.

Infant Registration

Please note that registration for Infant Beginners will take place week beginning 15th January.  Posters were placed in local nurseries and St.Augustine’s Parish to notify all local families prior to the holidays.  Please ensure that family members and neighbours are aware that registration takes place that week. Please arrange to contact the school and make an appointment.  Birth certificate, Baptismal certificate and proof of address must be presented at the time of registration.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Happy New Year and a warm welcome back to school for the start of 2018!! A busy time lies ahead for everyone here in school and we look forward to your continued support as we maintain our improvement agenda.  Prior to the holidays there was much to celebrate as the children really shone in their roles for the Christmas show and Nativity.  We look forward to a year that will provide further opportunities for all our children to grow and to continue to shine.  We look forward as always to working in partnership with everyone associated with the school in the year ahead.

A huge thanks goes to Joe Bradley and the Kano Foundation for our wonderful trip to see Celtic play Partick Thistle last night.  We were treated to a goodie bag that included snacks and a drink as well as a Celtic scarf.  We also met the lovely “wee Jay”.  Our children were a real credit to the school and we are very proud of them.

St.Augustine Choir Sing!

Our wonderful choir did some Carol singing this week to a variety of  local audiences.  They visited James Dempsey Gardens, Scotmid and St.Augustine’s Parish Centre.  They were well received and also enjoyed the treats they received for their great singing. Confident individuals indeed!
