Wider Achievement
Enterprising Minds
Look at these wonderful enterprising brains who have worked hard to make and sell their wares to raise funds for charity during Lent. Every day our hall is a hive of activity with continually changing stock. Well done boys and girls you are such Responsible Citizens.
Crazy Hair Day
As part of our fundraising activities for Lenten charities our children and some of our staff celebrated crazy hair day today – going out to the yard this morning certainly got some laughs. Well done everyone what great sports you are.
Reading Quiz Winners
Congratulations to our Reading Quiz Team who took part and won the Coatbridge Reading Quiz that took place today in Coatbridge Library. The team were a real credit to the school. We are hugely proud of their achievement. Fantastic team work!! More confident individuals showcasing their hard work and talent.
CSI St Augustine’s
Room 8 was like a scene from CSI this afternoon when the children learned about DNA. Wonderful prior knowledge was shared before we built on this and examined our own fingerprints on a glass. We learned to dust for evidence and how to safely gather fingerprints. We have some excellent investigators in our midst – watch out!!

STEM with IBM in P6/7 and P7
Primary 6/7 and Primary 7 had a great morning working co-operatively to design the tallest freestanding tower made of spaghetti today. We would like to thank the team from IBM who came to tell us the attributes and qualities you need to work as part of a team in the field of innovation. As you can see from the attached pictures our teams came up with different structures.
