Primary 7 really enjoying Gaelic football today where they practised some of their techniques and played some games.
Football Success
Congratulations to our football team who were a great success this week in representing the school at the Coatbridge Friendship League. Well done boys!!
Fish in schools
Room 15 had a great time releasing their fish into the Luggie Burn.
They have loved raising the brown trout from eggs into alevins then fry and have learned lots along the way.
Keep an eye out for our fishy friends if your passing!!
Move and Learn
Room 15 have really enjoyed working with the sports coaches from the Celtic foundation over the last 6 weeks.
They have been learning ball skills in the hall/yard and all about the eatwell plate in class. They are now all super fit and healthy!
Earth Hour
Reminder from our Eco Committee that we are supporting WWF UK Earth Hour. Please help us support this event by turning your lights off at home for an hour at 8.30pm this Saturday. Lets fight Climate Change together.
Active Schools Dance Festival 2018
St Augustine’s hosted the Active Schools Dance Festival today and our hall was buzzing with excited dancers covered in glitter and bright colours. We are delighted that we won Silver Medal for our own dancers and pleased to say they are through to the finals.
We would like to thank the boys and girls from the other schools for visiting us and taking part you were fabulous ambassadors for your schools.

Body Builders
On Monday, the boys and girls in primary 4 and 5 had a visit from Doctor Watson and Nurse It Better who brought their touring teaching hospital to St Augustines. We learned about the main organs of the body and their functions along with the respiratory and digestive systems, as well as discovering ways to keep our bodies health.
Wider Achievement
This young lady proudly displayed her medal she won at Gymnastics this week. What a star!
