Thanks to DHL for coming to visit us today to teach us about truck safety. We learned about vehicle blind spots and will now be more aware of trucks when we are playing football and out on our bikes. Very informative session to help us become responsible citizens.

Wear Yellow Walk
The school greatly regrets that the Pr. 7 Wear Yelliw Walk in aid of St. Andrew’s Hospice will not take place today . Apologies for any upset caused. Arrangements will be made to raise money for St. Andrew’s Hospice by Pr.7 pupils before the end of term.
Free School Meals and Clothing Grant

Parents who applied last year have either been issued with a letter advising them of their entitlement to an automatic award or will be issued with an application form for completion. Application forms can also be downloaded via: www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals.
Applications relating to the new term will be accepted by First Stop Shops from the first week in June.~~ Early submission is advised to ensure clothing grants are made and free school meals are registered for the start of the new session.
Gaelic Football Finals
Our Gaelic football teams participated in the Coatbridge finals today and we are delighted say our boys team are champions for the second year in and a row and our girls team are silver medalists. We had a wonderful day demonstrating our
fantastic team ethic and good sportsmanship. Our children are total credits to the school. Well done boys and girls you are superstars!

Science Transition Visit in P7
Thank you very much to our colleagues at St Ambrose High School who have been working with our P7 children over the last few weeks to ensure a smooth transition to high school after the summer. Our last session on Friday was investigating Density – great fun!
STEM Visit to New College Lanarkshire
P7 had a wonderful visit to New College Lanarkshire as part of their learning around STEM. We got to take part in various workshops including dentistry, 3D Printing and many more. We had a fantastic day.
Sports Day
Weather permitting our Sports Day will go ahead tomorrow – Monday. Pr. 1 – 3 – am, Pr.4 – 7 -pm. Children are asked to wear their sports clothes so no uniform. Children have been asked to wear a T-shirt in their house colour if possible. Please don’t go out and buy a T-shirt as we have coloured bands to help identify houses.
