Room 15 have worked hard on their novel Fantastic Mr. Fox over the past 4 weeks. The children were having fun completing their comprehension questions as a team, using the program Kahoot! They had lots of fun!
Assembly Awards
Our P4-7 Assembly was an opportunity to discuss our school values and how it is important for us to have self belief in our own abilities and judgements. We learned how it is important for us to keep going when things get tough.
At our assembly we also recognised those who demonstrated resilience, hard work, the ability to try their best and also those who challenged themselves. We are so proud of all our award winners.
Kodaly with room 15
Room 15 had their first Kodaly music session today with Mrs Ewart. They were learning how to keep a beat. They are all looking forward to their next session in 2 weeks time!
Maths Week Scotland in Room 15
Room 15 were learning about money during Maths Week. The children were able to shop within a budget and compare prices to get the best deal. They also gave it their best efforts when completing Miss Giblin’s daily maths challenge! We also had fun taking part in the Sumdog contest.

Real World 3D Shapes in P3
Rms 10 and 11, P3, investigating 3D shapes in the real world as part of Scottish Maths Week.
Room 7 Maths Week Scotland
This week, the children in room 7 enjoyed creating and sharing their own theme park designs. They had to work with a budget of £500,000, work out the opening costs, profit and losses after their opening and advertising costs.
Gaelic Training
Today P7 worked on their fitness to improve their technique at Gaelic football. As you can see from the attached clips a bit of competitive spirit was on show!
JRSO Road Safety Awareness Day
Two of our JRSO members represented St Augustine’s at a Road Safety Awareness day held on the 11th September. Not only was the day very informative, with a variety of tasks to participate in but our very own pupils won the competition, bringing back to the school a bag full of goodies! Mrs Shields said both member were great ambassadors!
