Our Confirmandi children received a very special visit today from Bishop Toal and Father Kane in preparation for their sacrament on 26th February. The children got to ask lots of questions and share with the Bishop details of their confirmation saints. A most enjoyable afternoon. Thank you very much for visiting us today.

Primary 7 pupils presented their manifestos today for the new term of office for house captains and vice captains. Enterprise is the Business at St Augustine’s
The boys and girls of P6 took part in a great workshop today where they started off with £25 and had to use this to buy materials, manufacture a product and make as much profit as possible.
The hall was a hive of activity with the winning team being whoever raised the most money. There was also a prize for the team who worked best together. Successful learners indeed boys and girls. Watch out Alan Sugar.

Lunch Menu for this Week
What’s on This Week?
Sunday was the launch of Catholic Education Week. This year’s theme is Serving the Common Good. Many thanks to the boys and girls who attended Mass this weekend as representatives of the school.
This week is also a focus week for Financial Education. All classes across the school will be learning about the importance of how best to manage their money. We are delighted that staff from HMRC will carry out workshops with classes focusing upon tax and finance. On Monday we will also welcome Enteprise is Business who will work with several classes on developing entrepreneurial skills. Please review your child’s Snapshot Jotters when they are sent home at the end of this week. Your comments are greatly valued.
