CSI St Augustine’s
Room 8 was like a scene from CSI this afternoon when the children learned about DNA. Wonderful prior knowledge was shared before we built on this and examined our own fingerprints on a glass. We learned to dust for evidence and how to safely gather fingerprints. We have some excellent investigators in our midst – watch out!!
Crazy Hair Day/Non -Uniform Day
STEM with IBM in P6/7 and P7
Primary 6/7 and Primary 7 had a great morning working co-operatively to design the tallest freestanding tower made of spaghetti today. We would like to thank the team from IBM who came to tell us the attributes and qualities you need to work as part of a team in the field of innovation. As you can see from the attached pictures our teams came up with different structures.
PTA Stall for Mother’s Day
Our highly industrious PTA members have been hard at work creating lovely gifts for children to buy as Mother’s Day presents. The gifts will be on sale every day this week throughout lunchtime. Please remember to give your child some change for the stall or to spend at our pupil stalls selling crafts for Lenten charities.
