The school is growing increasingly concerned about the amount of mobile phones that are in the school and the degree to which children feel they can be used. Please be aware that mobile phones are not allowed in school nor can they be used by pupils whilst they are in school. This is strictly forbidden. If your child has a phone then they are required to hand this into the office and it can be uplifted prior to them leaving school each day. Pupils are free to use their phone once they have left school grounds. The school greatly appreciates the support of all parents in this regard. Please contact the school if you have a query in relation to this matter.

What’s on this week?
During lockdown both school staff and parents had to work together to promote learning at home. Virtual/remote learning became the new normal. Now that we are back at school the importance of digital learning remains as we build upon the great partnership work that took place during those months. You will have noticed that all staff are now beginning to issue homework, after a period of assessment, that is in digital form. Please note previous posts if you are having difficulties accessing glow, teams or have been requested to change your password. Please check schoolbags for any communication coming from your child’s teacher in regard of homework. It is vitally important that children complete assigned tasks as we aim to address gaps in learning and get children back on track. Only through working in partnership can we make the difference.
We are delighted to welcome Miss Livingston to the staff team. Miss Livingston will cover Room 9 on a Mon and Tues, Room 15 on a Wed and Room 1 on a Friday. Miss Livingston will cover Mr McInttyre’s timetable as he has now moved to another etablishment.
Please note Mrs McGlone will cover Room 4 for the next 2 weeks.
