Lunchtime Beach Party
We are delighted that the weather forecast for our last week at school is a good one – warm sunshine all week!!
On Tuesday at lunchtime we will have a beach party. Children are asked to come to school wearing shorts and T-shirts and can bring along a beach towel to lie on the grass. As this is a non-uniform day we kindly ask for £1.00 to assist with school funds.
Friendship League Finals
Our very talented school football team represented the school superbly at the finals of the Friendship League at Airdrie Football Stadium. They were amazing !! They played 5 hotly contested games. They drew 1-1 with St Pat’s and St. Timothy’s. Won against Carnbroe 5-3 and Greenhill 8-2. They were narrowly defeated by Kirkshaws 2-3. They came third overall with St Timothy’s winning and St. Pat’s second. Our team were a joy to watch and were outstanding ambassadors of the school.
What’s Happening in School Next Week?
Week beginning 19th March remains a busy week for the school. Holy Mass takes place every morning at 8.00am in the Church with breakfast provided for the children in the hall afterwards. This is provided free by the school. It has been great to so many of our children make that extra effort to get to Mass.
Many thanks to the PTA for organising the Spring Disco. It was a great success. A huge thank you is also extended to the parents and staff who came out to help supervise that evening. As you can see from previous posts the children had a ball.

St.Andrew’s Day Celebration
Many thanks to everyone who came along and helped us celebrate St.Andrew’s Day in style. A huge congratulations and well done to all the staff and pupils who prepared so well for this wonderful event celebrating our rich Scottish culture.
Celebrating Success
At our assembly this morning for Pr. 5 – 7 there was a focus on the success of our Sportshall Athletes who came in first place for the Coatbridge finals. We have now successfully qualified for the North Lanarkshire finals which are due to be held in Ravenscraig where we will be competing with the other finalists from across the authority. We also celebrated the success of one of our violinist who recently passed her music grading. We were also joined by a pupil who dedicates each Friday to attending practices with the North Lanarkshire Preparatory Band. She will soon perform in The Royal Concert Hall. Well done boys and girls and congratulations t all pupils who received a certificate in recognition of their efforts.
