Tree of Knowledge
In preparation for transition to high school P7 will be working with Tree of Knowledge for the next 6 weeks. This week we learned about the human brain and how we make impulse decisions. We can’t wait to find out more over the coming weeks.
Sportshall Athletics Final
Some of our P6 and 7 pupils went off to Ravenscraig on Friday for the NL finals of Sportshall Athletics.
It was without a doubt a fantastic day. Every pupil who went worked their socks off and should absolutely be proud of their efforts. Sadly we didn’t win, but came home with no regrets. Our team showed determination, grit, superb team work and fun. Mrs Drummond lost her voice she was cheering so much!
Be proud of yourselves boys and girls, you were amazing!
Road Safety Poster Competition
This young lady won a recent Road Safety Competition. We are so proud of her.
Compliments in Primary 7
These two pupils were described by their classmates wonderfully this week during our health and well-being session. To be described as the best friend you could ever have or as someone you could turn to at any time is delightful to hear. We really are proud of you both. One of them had a wee dance to celebrate.
P6 & 7 Christmas Party
Primary 6 and 7 had a great time at their Christmas party this week and as you can see from the pictures they are certainly not camera shy. Merry Christmas everyone.

Wider Achievement
Raising Awareness of Down Syndrome
P7 have been learning about Down Syndrome and how we are all unique. We have been learning how it is good to be different – there will never be another you.
Huge thanks to Jay Beattie, his dad Martin and Joe Bradley for visiting us to share Jay’s journey to help us appreciate the importance of acceptance and to value our differences.
Mindfulness Lunchtime Session
Pupils from P7 took part in some mindfulness colouring during their lunchtime this week. Prompted by the children we spent some time colouring whilst listening to relaxing music.
