Primary 7 worked in co-operative groups today to build bridges from spaghetti. Some wonderful discussions took place and the classroom was a hive of activity. Mrs Drummond thinks we have some future architects or designers amongst our pupils.

Sportshall Athletics Finals
Mrs Drummond and our fabulous team attended the finals of Sportshall Athletics on Friday at Ravenscraig to compete against other schools throughout the authority. Unfortunately we didn’t win but were delighted to get so far and to be awarded the Sportmanship Award.
This award was very well deserved. Our boys and girls were a total credit to the school, cheering each other on and congratulating team mates as well and dancing and singing to keep spirits high. Well done everyone we are so proud of you all.
Digital Leaders help set up new technology
Some of our great digital leaders were busy this week helping set up some new ICT equipment the school has recently purchased to enhance learning and teaching across the school. We definitely have some technological whizz kids on our team!
Visit from Bishop Toal & Father Kane
Our Confirmandi children received a very special visit today from Bishop Toal and Father Kane in preparation for their sacrament on 26th February. The children got to ask lots of questions and share with the Bishop details of their confirmation saints. A most enjoyable afternoon. Thank you very much for visiting us today.
Wider Achievement in P6/7
Celtic v Hearts with the Kano Foundation
Some very lucky pupils got to go and see Celtic play Hearts last night at Parkhead courtesy of the Kano Foundation. From all accounts a fantastic time was had by all. Thank you once again to Joe Bradley for this amazing opportunity.
House Captain Nominees
Primary 7 pupils presented their manifestos today for the new term of office for house captains and vice captains. It was a delight to see how confident our children have become over the last few months as many lacked the confidence to put themselves forward last term. Well done boys and girls we can’t wait to hear who was successful.
HMRC workshop in Primary 7
Primary 7 learned about the work of HMRC and got to decide how to manage a budget. Lots of debating over how funds should be spent. Lets just say there were different opinions!
