Well done to those pupils recognised at our P5-7 assembly this morning who received awards from their teachers. We are very proud of you all. Congratulations to Room 8 who won the Best Line award this week also.
Some of our P6 and 7 pupils went off to Ravenscraig on Friday for the NL finals of Sportshall Athletics.
It was without a doubt a fantastic day. Every pupil who went worked their socks off and should absolutely be proud of their efforts. Sadly we didn’t win, but came home with no regrets. Our team showed determination, grit, superb team work and fun. Mrs Drummond lost her voice she was cheering so much!
Be proud of yourselves boys and girls, you were amazing!
Primary 6 and 7 had a great time at their Christmas party this week and as you can see from the pictures they are certainly not camera shy. Merry Christmas everyone.
P4-7 had a fabulous time yesterday at Motherwell Civic for our annual trip to the Panto. Thanks to all our parent helpers who escorted us with our teachers. We hope you had as much fun as we did. We are really in the Christmas spirit now.
Our assembly on Monday was a busy one. We had visitors from the Homeless Shelter explaining how we can help , particularly at Christmas time. We learned that even if we don’t have a lot we could simply give something small like a packet of biscuits, anything helps.
We were also visited by our local police on the important issue of bullying. We found out it is a crime to be involved in cyber bullying and that if we use our devices inappropriately they could be confiscated. The police told us about how quickly they need to get to emergencies and what we should do if we hear the sirens or see the blue flashing lights.
Huge well done to the pupils recognised this week by their teachers for awards. Keep up the great work boys and girls.
