Rm10 Gullwatch – Update
The chicks are growing rapidly and are becoming much bolder; they regularly run across the school roof, far from their nest. Here we see their mother giving them a pep talk on being responsible citizens.

Primary 3 Are Going On A Bug Hunt
The children of Rooms 10 and 11 recently went on a bug hunt, investigating the many microhabitats around the school in their search for minibeasts.
Bird Watching With Room 10
The children of Room 10 have now a legitimate reason for staring out of the window. Three seagull chicks have recently hatched in a nest upon the roof. The proud mother is keeping a close eye while their father regularly bring snacks.
P3 Inventions
Children from Rooms 10 and 11 designed and constructed their own inventions as part of their Great Scots theme.
Daffodil Tea
Our annual Daffodil Tea will take place on Wednesday at 10.30am. All donations for this event are raised in aid of Marie Curie. We warmly welcome all parents and grandparents to join us for a cup of tea or coffee. Our Pr. 1 – 3 Easter Bonnet Parade will take place at 11.15, children will entertain with a song for spring.
P1-3 Literacy Assembly
Friday was a day of activity as children dresssed up as a character from their favourite book and got to share their learning with family and friends. Well done everyone for fantastic stories. We can’t wait to read them.
Primary 3 Visit Coatbridge Library
As they begin writing their own novels in preparation for World Book Day, Rooms 10 & 11 today visited Coatbridge Library. They enjoyed a storytelling session; became acquainted with how libraries organise their books; participated in a classification activity; and explored the titles on offer. They enjoyed the unexpected good weather while waking to and fro the library and were a credit to the school and their families throughout the morning.
Assembly Awards P3-4
Mrs Docherty was beaming with pride when she handed out awards at our P3-4 assembly this morning. These boys and girls have been recognised by their teachers for extra effort in their work, being responsible citizens and for trying their best to overcome challenges, We are delighted to recognise your achievements and are very proud of you all.
