Read, Write and Count Bags were mentioned in an earlier post. The ‘Read, Write, Count’ bags contain a variety of materials to support children in their reading, writing and maths and will be given to pupils tomorrow. Have fun using the variety of resources at home.
We have tried to capture the essence of a very successful disco organised by our exceptionally hard working and dedicated PTA. Thank you ladies for all your support. The disco was a huge success and enjoyed by everyone.
At our Wednesday Assembly we had several vey confident individuals who shared their learning with everyone. They spoke confidently about their achievements and shared the great work and facts they had learned when involved in their homework projects. Fantastic work boys and girls.
Yesterday we had a very industrious kitchen as Pr.3 created their own fresh fruit kebabs.
The first of our committee meetings took place on Friday with the Health Comittee taking the time to get to know one another and to make delicious fruit kebabs. They also focused upon the importance of health and safety in the kitchen.

Pr.3, Room 11 pupils have been desperate to share their learning in maths fom last week on the school blog. They were using their own number cards to make 3 digit numbers in their groups. As a group they had to decide who made the biggest number and order them from largest to smallest. Great team work!
This autumn, the Scottish Government will be providing special numeracy and literacy resources to all Primary 1-3 St Augustine’s pupils. The ‘Read, Write, Count’ bags will contain a variety of materials to support the children in their reading, writing and maths. Room 11. Pr.3 went to the ICT room for the first time this term. The children were learning how to put the computers and laptops on, how to access the Internet and were working together to complete maths challenges. They loved it as you can see!!
