Solo Talks in P2

Rooms 3 and 4 were demonstrating that they are already confident individuals by giving talks to their class on a Scottish Landmark of their choice.  The research was amazing and they presented the facts clearly to the class audience, with good eye contact and engaging visuals.  Of course the class audience listened perfectly and they learned lots from each other. Wow! We are so impressed.

Primary 2 Library Visit

P2s in Room 3 visited Coatbridge Library as part of their learning on the theme of Scotland. They had a fantastic time with Lauren the librarian who read stories by Scottish authors and they danced and sang songs in Scots Language too! “It’s wis rer!”
The children were able to take out books with their library card and those who don’t have one yet went home with a membership request form. Hopefully all our pupils will take advantage of this fantastic local facility to boost our children’s Literacy skills!

P2 have been learning the new skill of multiplication. They worked with partners using materials and were able to create equal sets and record their sums. They could even find answers like 7×6 & 9×4! Now that is impressive… maths geniuses! Soon they will begin to learn times tables & use their new knowledge to solve problems.
