Our P4-7 Assembly was an opportunity to discuss our school values and how it is important for us to have self belief in our own abilities and judgements. We learned how it is important for us to keep going when things get tough.
At our assembly we also recognised those who demonstrated resilience, hard work, the ability to try their best and also those who challenged themselves. We are so proud of all our award winners.
Today P7 worked on their fitness to improve their technique at Gaelic football. As you can see from the attached clips a bit of competitive spirit was on show!
Two of our JRSO members represented St Augustine’s at a Road Safety Awareness day held on the 11th September. Not only was the day very informative, with a variety of tasks to participate in but our very own pupils won the competition, bringing back to the school a bag full of goodies! Mrs Shields said both member were great ambassadors!
Reminder for everyone to play as much Sumdog as they can this week to support our learning for Maths Week Scotland. We have entered authority competitions and would love to place high on the leaderboard. Good luck everyone!

Our Junior Sports Leaders started their first training session today with our Active Schools Co-ordinator Vikki Sadler. We can’t wait to see how they develop over the next few weeks and start working with our younger children to help everyone at St Augustine’s to keep healthy.
We were lucky enough to work with Louise Renicks today who is a Judo athlete who participated in the Commonwealth Games and won a Gold medal! Louise taught us some moves. As you can see it was loads of fun.
