Whole School Assembly

The whole school community gathered today to review the start of the first term and how busy we have all been. Our fabulous House Captains presented their first whole school presentations and did an outstanding job.

We celebrated our success stories over the term, our monthly award winners for Maths, Art and Literacy as well as some of our learning experiences that have taken place outwith the school.

To finish off we were treated to a fabulous display of dancing from our very own World Champion – yes thats right! we have a World Champion at St Augustines. # proundaspunch

Wow! what a night! wonderful costumes on display as always boys and girls. Well done parents and carers, superb effort on display tonight with costume ideas. Some of our P7 children enjoyed a trip to see Celtic v Hibs at Parkhead today courtesy of the Kano Foundation. We had a great day out and are super proud of the children who were superb ambassadors for the school.

Room 8 P7 visit to Sky Academy

What a wonderful day Room 8 had today when they visited the Sky Academy in Livingston. The children undertook a challenge to design a piece of technology that could help someone with hearing or sight difficulties. They worked together to use cutting edge technology to create their own adverts for the products they had designed. Excellent teamwork displayed with children working as presenters, directors, camera operators and we even had some special effect technicians. Well done everyone you were a credit to the school.

P7 Pope Francis Faith Award

Primary 7 have been working with our very own Deacon Mr Harper from our parish as part of our Pope Francis Faith Award preparation. We have been learning more about our Christian Witness and how we can become ambassadors of faith. We shared our knowledge on Church and Holy Communion etiquette today.
