House Captain Voting

Primary 7 has been a hive of activity over the last few days as we heard from those children who prepared and presented their manifestos for House Captains.  The votes have been counted and we will shortly announce the winners.  Well done indeed to everyone who put themselves forward, it is such a reward to see children who perhaps lacked confidence at the start of the year feel able to put themselves forward.  We are so proud of you all. Well done.

Compliments in P7

It was time for classmates to share compliments for this young lady.  Lots of lovely comments made and it was very evident she is well thought of.  Giving and receiving compliments has become an important part of our class culture  – we really are a great bunch.

High School Transition for P7

Primary 7 spent some time with Mrs Barrie from St Ambrose High School today as part of their transition to high school later this year.  The children were able to ask questions on anything that was worrying them and found out more about the type of work they would be doing when they get there.  We have lots of excited children but we know we still have a lot of work to do before we get there.

Financial Education in P7

Primary 7 worked with Shelly from Money Advice Scotland earlier this week where they learned the importance of managing money when it comes to household bills.  The boys and girls looked at running costs for a house and were really surprised at how expensive things were.  We hope they shared some of their money saving learning with you when they came home.

Solo Talks in P7

Some of our class presented their solo talks today in Room 8.  We learned about Judo, Dinosaurs, African Animals and Household Dogs! We peer assessed each other against our core targets and where necessary offered each other next steps.

We can’t wait to hear more this week!
